This year’s Soundcity Music Video Awards, according to its organisers, is set to be one show to remember. Starting from the list of nominees, the venue and down to the line-up of performers, SMVA 2010 is stacking up to be a much bigger event than the first two.
The event which will be held at the Expo Hall of the Eko Hotel on November 20, features for the first time, nominees from other African countries. The line-up of performers that would hold sway on the SMVA stage also includes big names in music from across the continent such as Dama Do Bling and Lizha James from Mozambique; R2Bees (Ghana), Deep Level (South Africa), and Toniks (Uganda).
Nigeria would also be represented in a big way at the SMVAs as almost all the stars of Nigerian music would be performing on that night too.
There would be performances from MI and the rest of the Choc Boys, The MoHits crew, P-Square, 9ice and the Alapomeji posse including Snow, Wise and Kayefi, Storm all stars, Banky W, Timaya and his Dem Mama Soldiers and Asa.
From individual acts to crews and record labels, the SMVAs have indeed gathered everyone to make its third year truly memorable.
