, holding at the New Expo hall of the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos, organisers have unveiled the names of artistes that are billed to thrill the galaxy of movie stars from across Africa and other parts of the world who are expected to grace the awards night.
Leading the pack is African Queen crooner, Tuface Idibia, Asa and a Senegalese female singer, Vivian Chidid.
AMAA boss, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe disclosed this, at the world press conference, held Wednesday, in Lagos. She also named Hollywood star actors like Morris Chestnut, Rockmund Dumbar, Lynn Whitfield and Maya Gilbert as special guests, at this glamorous night of colour, style and celebration of movies from Africa.
According to AMAA boss, there will be delegation from countries such as Gabon, Equatorial-Guinea, Gambia, Kenya, South Africa amongst other countries.
Speaking at the well-attended press briefing, Ms Anyiam-Osigwe said this year's AMAA promises to be different from what have been witnessed in the last eight years of the awards ceremony.
According to her, the high point of this year's AMAA is the screening of films from Uganda, Algeria, Tanzania, South Africa and other African countries.
