Despite the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray homicide, fans and friends of Michael Jackson gathered in Cardiff, Wales, for an event a little more pleasing: a concert honoring the life of Jackson.
This is Katherine, LaToya, Tito, Marlon and Jackie Jackson , and the children of the King of Pop, Prince, Paris and Michael Joseph Jr. (affectionately nicknamed Blanket), which launched the Michael Jackson tribute concert titled Forever, Saturday .
It was noted the absence of Janet, Jermaine and Randy Jackson , who were against the fact that the concert is held in conjunction with the trial of Murray.
"Although we support with all my heart a tribute to our brother, we can not support an event to be held in conjunction with the criminal trial related to the death of Michael" Randy and Jermaine have posted on their Twitter page , after the announcement of the concert.
But despite the disagreements and family rumors that the concert was a good chance of being canceled (and Last minute cancellation of the Black Eyed Peas), the show went off without a hitch.
Ne-Yo said, "shaking like a leaf," said Wales Online, when he started the concert presented by Fearne Cotton and Jamie Foxx , performing "Billie Jean" and "Lady in My Life."
Then it was choreographed around the songs like Leona Lewis , who sang "Stranger in Moscow" with ballerinas dancing behind her, the mother and Beyoncé , who sang "I Want to Be Where You Are" by video intermediary.
For her part, Christina Aguilera took the stage to sing "Smile" and "Dirty Diana" and Cee Lo has given us renewed soul of "I Can not Help It" and "You Can not Win."
Craig Davis , Smokey Robinson , Alien Ant Farm , Gladys Knight , Pixie Lott , 3T (Jackson's nephews), Yolanda Adams and Alexandra Burke also came to lend a hand singing the greatest hits of pop icon, Foxx and has even swapped his role as presenter at a time to interpret "Rock With You" solo "Do not Stop 'Til You Get Enough" with JLS and Jackson (Michael's three children have even reached to dance on stage during "Do not Stop" and close the concert).
Jennifer Hudson , who would play "Leave Me Alone" and "Gone Too Soon" at the tribute concert, left a message to fans on Twitter to announce that it would be absent.
"In my British fans who had come to the concert mj Wales," wrote Hudson, "I can not participate due to large production problems. I think you would already know, but since 'they did not, I tell you. Thank you all for your support. "
Jackson died June 25, 2009 of cardiac arrest at home. Murray, a doctor of music icon, is currently undergoing a trial for manslaughter in the death of Jackson.
