“I want to play a more active role” – Ekiti state governor to begin teaching at university

The governor of Ekiti state Kayode Fayemi has indicated interest in teaching graduate courses at the Ekiti State University formally University of Ado Ekiti. Fayemi said that he had begun making plans with the vice chancellor of the university and the Department of Political Science, to make good on the promise he made while campaigning to teach in the institution.

"Apart from occupying the position of the Visitor of this University, I also want to play a more active role," he said. "Many will recall my campaign promise to teach in the university."

"I have been in discussion with the school on plans to start a graduate course in my field of Peace and Conflict Studies. So very soon, don't be surprised if you see me in your class."
